Teeth Whitening Guide

Nowadays, thanks to all the advancements in cosmetic dentistry, an attractive smile is a possibility for all. With time, our teeth tend to become discolored or stained.  This is unavoidable and can be caused due to several reasons. Teeth whitening treatments are a great option to produce a sparkling smile. Below you will find a list of the several teeth whitening processes that we offer at Liberty Dental Care

Opalescence Boost

Opalescence Boost is a chemically activated power whitening gel that provides brighter, whiter teeth after just 40 minutes in the dental chair. The powerful 40% hydrogen peroxide gel is chemically activated, so it doesn’t require a hot, uncomfortable light to work.

Opalescence Boost consists of two syringes: The first contains 38 percent hydrogen peroxide, the active tooth whitening ingredient. The second syringe contains fluoride and potassium nitrate (PF), which helps strengthen tooth enamel, reduce sensitivity and protect against cavities. When mixed, the gel produces a distinct red color to help ensure correct placement and full removal of the product.

Safe and effective, Opalescence Boost usually takes only one dental visit to complete. While one visit is all you need to achieve a brighter smile, difficult stains or extreme discoloration may require additional treatments.

At Liberty Dental Care, Opalescence Boost is just one of many teeth whitening options. Call us at 816-792-3500 to schedule a consultation.

Take-Home Whitening Trays

Take-home trays are great because they can be used in the comfort of your home. Our dentist can provide you with a kit with instructions, or you can purchase these over-the-counter at any local pharmacy. Results are not immediate with this method but can be seen after a single session.

This is one of the most advanced in-office teeth whitening systems that are available today. Not only does Laser Smile give the most accelerated results, but also reverses the discoloration of the enamel. The process involves the use of a gel that is combined with the characteristics of a laser. Getting your teeth whitened with this advanced procedure results in a great smile. What sets Laser Smile apart from the rest of the procedures being used today is that it vastly whitens your teeth in just one sitting.
